Pressure regulators and brass ball valves are check valves for controlling the parameters of the working environment in a particular area of technological systems or PEX plumbing piping, and consist of two functionally related parts:
- The regulatory body – the check valve (or plumbing valves) that directly affect the flow passing through the working environment change their bandwidth;
- Executive (manager) mechanism to create the control action on the regulator. As the actuators can be used by electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators. Depending on the provisions governing the (closing) Authority regulators may be:
- Normally open (NO) – a fully open flow area in the absence of a control signal;
- Normally closed (NC) – with a fully closed flow area in the absence of a control signal. Depending on the design of the regulatory body brass ball valves may be single seat or double seat.
